Keto Hot Choclate @ Starbucks

Here is a drink which a Keto person would never dream of having in a coffee shop and sounds impossible in Starbucks since they discontinued bunch of sugar free syrups. Having said that, I found a way to customize this with as low sugar as 7g.

Hot choclate is something I always crave in winter days. I actually miss it. I am on Keto for a year now and always made my own hot choclate at home with stevia, heavy cream and 0g carb cocoa powder. But when I am out at Starbucks, how do I have one without getting kicked out of ketosis?

After a few tries I finally figured it out…

Steamer with Heavy cream ( extra hot if you like) with 4 pumps of sugar free vanilla syrup, 1 pump of Mocha Sauce, top with Cinnamon and Nutmeg, if you want sweet, add Stevia.

It tastes pretty close to hot choclate!! As per google 1 pump of Mocha sauce is around 7g of carbs. I didn’t calculate the exact net carbs of the drink, but I believe it should be around 8-9 g of carbs. It’s still close to the equivalent of a Keto snack. You can also take out Mocha Sauce completely and further more reduce the carbs or replace Mocha sauce with Peppermint Syrup or White Choclate Mocha Sauce, the net carbs may vary though.

So there you are, Keto Hot Choclate at Starbucks!! Loving it…
